Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

The Internal Control Manager at Avison Pharma Group of Companies will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a strong internal control environment across all subsidiaries and operations. This role ensures that financial, operational, and compliance risks are effectively identified, monitored, and mitigated through well-designed control systems and policies. The Internal Control Manager will lead efforts to enhance business processes, prevent fraud, and ensure the company adheres to both internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

 Control Framework Development:

 • Design and implement internal control policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with company strategy and regulatory standards.

 • Ensure consistency of control systems across all departments and business units.

 • Risk Assessment & Management:

 • Identify key business risks and perform regular risk assessments across departments and subsidiaries.

 • Recommend and implement appropriate mitigating controls.

Audit & Compliance:

 • Collaborate with internal and external auditors; coordinate audit schedules and ensure timely responses to audit findings.

 • Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement:

 • Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for automation or process reengineering to enhance control and efficiency.

 • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement approved improvements.

Training & Awareness:

 • Lead training programs to enhance staff awareness and understanding of internal control procedures.

 • Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and compliance within the organization.

 • Monitoring & Reporting:

 • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting systems to track control performance and exceptions.

 • Regularly report control weaknesses and corrective actions to senior management.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Requirements:

 • Master degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

 • Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or CISA is strongly preferred.

 • Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role in internal control, audit, or compliance.

 • Experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry is an asset.

 • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), risk management, and audit standards.

 • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools.

 • Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

 • High ethical standards and attention to detail.
