Resilience, Environment, and Humanitarian Aid (REHA) is a national NGO registered with the Afghan Ministry of Economy, specializing in environmental protection, climate change, disaster risk reduction, and cross-cutting areas such as agriculture, livelihood support, and humanitarian assistance. REHA employs a balanced approach, combining “hard” interventions (e.g., infrastructure, resource management) with “soft” interventions (e.g., capacity building, advocacy) to address the needs of communities affected by climate and humanitarian crises.

With over 19 years of expertise, REHA’s team excels in climate change governance, disaster risk management, and environmental protection, supported by strong capabilities in program management, organizational strengthening, and financial and operational oversight.

Job Descriptions:

The Media and Design Officer will play a key role in strengthening REHA’s visibility, outreach, and brand identity across digital and print platforms. The role requires a creative and proactive professional capable of managing social media, producing visual content, maintaining the organization’s website, and supporting communication efforts including the design of publications, reports, and promotional materials.

Key Responsibilities

1. Media Management & Communications

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with REHA’s mission.
  • Create and schedule engaging multimedia content (text, graphics, videos, stories, reels) for platforms including Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Actively manage and monitor REHA’s social media presence, responding to comments and messages.
  • Engage with audiences and build community interaction across digital platforms
  • Track performance through analytics tools and prepare monthly reports with insights and recommendations.

2. Graphic Design & Content Production

  • Design visual materials for digital and print including brochures, flyers, banners, posters, infographics, and presentations.
  • Develop layout and design for reports, publications, newsletters, and annual reports.
  • Ensure consistency of visual identity across all outputs, adhering to REHA branding guidelines.
  • Produce visually engaging content for project assessments, field activities, events, and campaigns.
  • Support the preparation of audio-visual materials, including basic video editing.

3. Website and Digital Tools

  • Maintain and update REHA’s official website, ensuring up-to-date and high-quality content.
  • Coordinate with the IT team or external developers for technical support and improvements.
  • Optimize media and design content for SEO and digital performance.

4. Organizational Support

  • Collaborate closely with the Communication & Advocacy Officer, program teams, and operations units to gather input for communication materials.
  • Support the planning and branding of internal and external events.
  • Participate in cross-team initiatives to strengthen REHA’s internal communication and knowledge-sharing culture.
  • Contribute to the design of training and team development materials.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant professional certificate in graphic designing and related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with national and international organizations in office media management and graphic designing.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Effective coordination and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proactive and independent approach to work under pressure, ability to maintain positive working relationships and willingness to undertake additional responsibilities.
