The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) is a member-based solidarity organization that has been working in support and solidarity with the Afghan people for more than 35 years. The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) has a zero tolerance of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) both within the organization and of beneficiaries. Prevention of and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) is the individual and collective responsibility of all NAC officers, management, staff, consultants, and volunteers, who are all required to familiarize themselves with, agree to, and act in accordance with NAC’s Ethical Guidelines and Commitment, NAC Child Protection Policy, and NAC PSEAH Policy, at all times – both during and outside working hours – and participate actively in introductory and refresher trainings. Any breaches of PSEAH clauses in NAC’s policies, guidelines, and/or commitments will lead to immediate termination and possible legal actions

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Register and enroll participants in all Think Lab programs and activities.

Plan and deliver English language and computer skills training using updated, relevant teaching materials.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.

Monitor participants' progress through weekly evaluations and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, class activities, and learning outcomes.

Manage Think Lab equipment and systems, ensuring proper use and reporting any issues.

Organize and document Think Lab events such as workshops and seminars.

Submit regular reports and updates to the line manager and project coordinator.

Ensure classroom discipline and promote respectful, student-centered learning.

Comply with NAC's ethical guidelines and organizational policies.

Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.

Language requirements, if any

Fluency in Dari, Pashto, and English, both verbal and written, is a mandatory.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Computer Science, or a related field.

Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to teach both English language and computer skills effectively.

Work Experience

Minimum of two years of relevant experience in teaching English and/or computer skills or working in a similar educational or training role.

Priority will be given to local candidates.
