Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Embroidery Trainer to train students in various embroidery techniques, both traditional and modern. The trainer will be responsible for delivering practical, hands-on training to help learners develop high-quality skills for self-employment or job opportunities at the provincial level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical training sessions on different types of embroidery such as:
    • Hand embroidery (e.g., chain stitch, satin stitch, mirror work, zardozi, chikankari, kantha, salma dozi etc.)
    • Machine embroidery (basic to advanced)
    • Use of embroidery hoops, tracing designs, and color theory
  • Teach design transfer methods, material selection, and modern techniques.
  • Provide guidance on quality control and time management in embroidery projects.
  • Motivate and support learners to develop their creativity and skill sets.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Keep records of student attendance, progress, and training outcomes.
  • Maintain embroidery equipment and ensure the safety and hygiene of the training area.

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (minimum 2–3 years) in hand and/or machine embroidery
  • Good understanding of traditional embroidery styles and current market trends
  • Strong communication and instructional skills
  • Experience working with women, youth, or community-based programs is a plus
  • Patience, creativity, and passion for teaching
  • Basic literacy and ability to maintain simple training records

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in creating market-ready embroidery products.
  • Ability to guide students on starting their own small business or cooperative
  • Familiarity with tailoring and garment design (optional)
  • Knowledge of vocational training frameworks is a plus

Language Skills:

  • Pashto: Native
  • Dari: Native/Fluent
  • English: Professional working

Education / Qualifications:

12 Graduate or bachelor degree in relevant field is preferred.
