HRRAC is a unique platform that brings together national and international organizations committed to advocating with and on behalf of Afghans for the protection and respect of human rights in Afghanistan. 

Job Descriptions:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in preparing financial vouchers, supporting documents, and data entry in financial systems.
  2. Ensure timely disbursement of payments to staff, vendors, and beneficiaries, in coordination with the Finance Manager.
  3. Maintain petty cash book and petty cash reconciliation on a regular basis.
  4. Track project-related expenses and maintain proper documentation for all transactions.
  5. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and final financial reports and forecasts.
  6. Assist in ensuring expenditures are properly coded according to the budget lines and donor (AHF) requirements.
  7. Maintain financial files and ensure all finance-related documents are properly archived.
  8. Maintain proper inventory and asset management of project equipment and supplies.
  9. Support the procurement process in alignment with procurement cycle, collecting quotations, and following up on purchases in coordination with procurement focal point.
  10. Organize project documents including contracts, attendance sheets, purchase records, and leave records.
  11. Ensure accurate and updated records of staff attendance, leave, and timesheets.
  12. Coordinate project logistics including arranging meetings, transportation, and accommodation when needed.
  13. Ensure availability and proper functioning of office supplies and utilities.
  14. Support the recruitment process (announcements, shortlisting, scheduling interviews).
  15. Maintain personnel files for project staff including contracts, timesheets, and leave balances.
  16. Assist in onboarding new project staff by preparing documentation and orientation materials.
  17. Ensure that all financial and administrative activities are in line with HRRAC’s internal policies and donor (AHF) compliance requirements.
  18. Support external and internal audits by providing required documents and explanations.
  19. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling financial and administrative data.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. At least 2 years of relevant experience in admin and finance roles, preferably in NGOs or development organizations.
  3. Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic accounting software.
  4. Familiarity with donor financial procedures, especially AHF or UN-based funding, is an asset.
  5. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  6. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Fluent in Pashto and Dari and -working knowledge of English is an advantage.
