Afghanischer Frauenverein e.V.: AFV is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political humanitarian aid organization registered with the Ministry of Economy in Afghanistan and has been working in the field of Education, Health, WASH, Vocational skills development, and humanitarian emergency response in Afghanistan since 1992. With a Country Office in Kabul and over 200 local staff members countrywide, AFV is implementing sustainable relief programs that are mainly in the rural areas, focusing on supporting children and their families in extreme poverty. Today AFV is engaged in over 21 relief programs serving over 200,000 people per year all over the country. The organization provides technical and financial support to five schools in Kabul, Kunduz and Ghazni provinces; runs vocational training courses for people with disability in Kabul and Ghazni; provides safe drinking Pipe for poor communities in remotest parts of some provinces; supports seven Basic Health Clinics (BHCs) in Kabul Province; and delivers humanitarian assistance particularly in partnership with other local partners.

EPI /Pharmacy Supervisor
Lifesaving Healthcare Services Provision to Mothers and Children Through Basic Health Center (BHC) in Remote Rural Area of Kabul Organization: The Afghanischer Frauenverein e.V. (AFV)

About the position:
The Pharmacy/EPI supervisor is responsible for overall management of the Pharmacy /EPI activities of health project of AFV in Kabul province and distract level (Pharmacy Stock, Warehouse, Health Facility medicine supplies, stock cards, consumption report, database of medicine and medical supplies in the country Office and Health Facility level.
The responsibilities also include medicine quantification training and other related trainings related to pharmacy field, ensuring buffer stock in ealth Facility level, request for medicine, medical supplies, to ensure health staff capacity is developed in medicine field to the possible extent).
The Pharmacy / EPI Supervisor is also responsible for supervision and providing technical support to HF, ensuring RCW 50s are functional and supplied with gas supply to operate, ensure supply of vaccine to HF, verify data received form HF level related to EPI, and ensure the target is reached on immunization. The incumbent should regularly monitor proper and timely distribution of vaccines and maintenance of vaccines in the optimal temperature.
The pharmacy /EPI supervisor works closely with and under the supervision of the AFV Senior Health Project Officer to provide technical support to project /Health Facility through frequent supervision, communication, on the job and formal trainings, workshops, and other activities for the health staff. He conducts regular visits to the field to ensure the Pharmacy /EPI related performance, supply of medicine and medical supply, supply of vaccines, storing vaccines properly, reporting of pharmacy /EPI data, quality and consistency of data and progress toward implementation of Project.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Technical Tasks:
On-job training of staff of HF during supervision visits. Conducting Pharmacy/ EPI refresher training for staff of HF. Assist the team in training Need Assessment of staff of HF.
Coordination, Reporting, and M&E:
-Monitor the EPI and CBHC activities in community and health facility level
-Participate in the health shura meeting and share the AFV achievements with Community Shura
-Assist the health team in data entry of pharmacy/EPI Report from HF to National Data Base. Monitoring and evaluation of Survey
-Analysis and evaluation of Survey data
-Support final report of catchments area annual science or microplanning survey
-Keep proper record of CAAC survey for payment and record keeping.
-Establish and strengthen referral system from community to HF
-Assist the Project team and research team in conducting Epidemiological surveys:
-Data collection, data entry and analysis of epidemiological studies conducti in the catchment and all related report
-Participate in related subcommittee. Prepare Field Visit Report
-Prepare monthly activity report
-Prepare monthly Pharmacy/EPI Report of Health Facility.
-Assist the health team in preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Progress Reports.
