Under the direct supervision of the Managing Director, the incumbent of this position will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
1- Implement the project activities at the districts/provincial level and execute the planned activities according to the approved grant agreement, workplan and milestones.
2- Coordinate all project activities in collaboration with the National Program Development Manager, based in Kabul, and other WADAN staff (MEAL, Evaluation, Human Resources, Finance, and Operations).
3- Develop and maintain a detailed project work plan, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
4- Coordinate and oversee all project activities within the Southern Region, including procurement, logistics, and implementation of project interventions.
5- Monitor progress, identify challenges, and proactively address issues to ensure project goals are met.
6- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for project activities.
7- Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels with stakeholders to provide project updates and gather feedback.
8- Assist in the development of project budgets, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and project guidelines.
9- Monitor project expenditure, track budget utilization, and ensure funds are used efficiently.
10- Prepare regular project reports, including progress reports, financial reports, and other required documentation.
11- Maintain accurate records of project activities, expenditures, and outcomes.
12- Conduct regular visits to project sites, as frequently as possible, to provide technical assistance and ensure proper implementation and monitoring of project activities.
13- Develop work plans, procurement plans and spending plans on timely manner and liaise with Kabul based Operation Unit for procuring of goods and services with accurate specifications and realistic cost.
14- Identify capacity-building needs within the project team and local partners and develop training programs as necessary.
15- Provide training and mentorship to project staff and partners to enhance project performance.
16- Ensure project activities adhere to established quality standards and best practices.
17- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure the impact and effectiveness of project interventions.
18- Identify potential risks and challenges to project implementation and develop mitigation strategies.
19- Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols.
20- Take initiatives to establish effective communication with provincial stakeholders for instance Provincial Governor Office, Directorate of Economy, UN Women, other relevant government entities and NGOs with regards to the project activities.
