The Afghanistan Journalists Support Organization (AJSO) is a non-profit organization established in August 2022 in Frankfurt, Germany. Our mission is to promote freedom of expression, support media rights, and advocate for the protection of Afghan journalists. We aim to empower Afghan journalists by fostering a diverse and independent media environment where they can work without fear and contribute to a vibrant media landscape. AJSO is dedicated to creating a pluralistic, peaceful, and democratic media community in Afghanistan, embracing cultural, linguistic, and ethnic diversity, and upholding social justice and gender equality.

Job Description:
The Afghanistan Journalists Support Organization (AJSO) is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to support our programs remotely. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, preferably in the field of media development or human rights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement M&E frameworks, tools, and systems to monitor project progress and impact.
• Collect, analyze, and report on data to measure project outcomes and effectiveness.
• Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
• Provide technical assistance and capacity building to project staff on M&E methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and reporting deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in media development, human rights, WB or related fields.
• Strong analytical and data management skills.
• Proficiency in M&E software and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
