Job Descriptions:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the transportation of commodities and items to ROs by Transportation Company through procurement section.
  • Do purchasing and hand over the purchased items to the store keeper, ensure that it is registered in the store book and Good Receive Note (GRN).
  • Coordination and collaboration with program staff and provide facilities in coordination with admin logistic officer.
  • Coordination with finance department to maintain a good documentation process.
  • Organize and maintain computerized records
  • Supervise and control the loading and unloading of materials
  • Logistic assistant will be under direct supervision of Admin/Logistic and Procurement officers.
  • Check the kitchen hygiene regularly.
  • Check the kitchen supplies and equipment   for its well-being and replace old items with new.
  • Prepare a weekly and monthly food menu based on its season and check with Admin/Logistic Officer & head of office.
  • He is responsible to travel to the remote areas of Faryab.
  • Occasional work evenings and weekends.
  • Any other official business agreed with line manager

Job Requirements:

Languages required:

  • Dari: fluent reading, writing and speaking skills.
  • Uzbeki: fluent speaking skill is preferable.
  • Excellent in writing and spoken English and Afghan local Languages,

 

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration from a recognized university with 2 years relevant experience or Baccalaureate degree with 2 years of relevant experience.

 

Work Experience:

  • Between 2 to 4 years’ experience in the position of Logistic with other INGOs/International organizations, and with experience from working in a different area.

 

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of computer programs such as MS Office package, internet and email. etc. Skills in adobe programs will be preferable.
  • Competence in qualitative and quantitative data collection.
  • Excellent in written and spoken English and Afghan local languages.
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills with people from different backgrounds.
  • A good disposition towards collaboration and teamwork.
  • Computer skills (windows, word, excel, outlook, using internet)
  • Good communication skills
