About New way Social and Development Organization:

New way Social & Development Organization is a development, advocacy, and humanitarian organization established in 2011 and registered with the Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan. Organization is based in Kabul, with programming hubs across the north and northeastern provinces of the country. Organization strives to empower the vulnerable and marginalized communities suffering from the impacts of war, natural calamities, poverty, and injustice. Additionally, Organization is also working on the idea of integrated development, which encompasses socio-economic, cultural and good governance. Community Empowerment is the core to Organization’s strategy to engage with grass-root groups and communities to address the root causes of poverty, inequalities and injustice.

Job Descriptions:

  • Develop and update the provincial work plan and budget for the project activities, in consultation with the project manager and program lead.
  • Provide practical and technical follow up and monitoring of the entire project activities to ensure the sustainability and impact of the project.
  • Coordinate and manage the project activities in the province, and promotion of private sector partnership, in accordance with the project work plan, budget, and quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with relevant government authorities, private sector actors, civil society organizations, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders at provincial and district levels.
  • Ensure that the project integrates cross-cutting issues such as gender equality, women’s empowerment, and social cohesion in all its activities and outputs.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the project staff, partners, and beneficiaries in the province, such as facilitating trainings, workshops, meetings, and field visits, preparing, and distributing materials and equipment, and ensuring compliance with the donor and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of the project activities in the province, using quantitative and qualitative data, indicators, and tools, and report the results and recommendations to the project manager and the technical specialists.
  • Prepare and submit regular and timely reports on the project activities, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned in the province, using the required formats and templates, and in accordance with the reporting schedule and guidelines.
  • Participate in the project coordination and learning events, such as team meetings, webinars, conferences, and trainings, and share the provincial perspectives, insights, and feedback.
  • Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
  • Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Participate in all relevant meetings in the provincial level.
  • Developing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
  • Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Project Manager/Program Department.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Business Administration, Social sience, Agriculture or a related field.
  • Having Certification in Project Managerment will be an asset.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in project management roles, preferably in a humanitarian aid or development context.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR management software.
  • Fluency in English and Dari or Pashto; both written and spoken.
