Job Descriptions:

The Health & Safety Officer will play a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing health and safety regulations. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical system installations, the ability to identify potential hazards, and the skills to develop effective safety protocols. The Health & Safety Officer will work closely with management, employees, and regulatory bodies to promote a culture of safety.

Job Requirements:

The Health & Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and health of employees in the workplace, particularly during the installation of electrical systems. This role involves developing and implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Environmental or Safety Engineering and at least five years of experience in overseeing the installation of electrical systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits for electrical system installations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure safety measures are integrated into project plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to safety procedures.
  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Respond to safety-related emergencies and provide first aid if necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation of electrical systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to electrical installations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills in English (oral and written).
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with electrical system installations.
  • Promote a culture of safety among all employees.
  • Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety standards and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Stay updated on the latest health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
