The “Providing Life-Saving Assistance Through Temporary Employment for Vulnerable Households in Afghanistan (Trip Advisor)” program is a humanitarian intervention that aims to provide multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA) to 1,190 vulnerable households affected by the protracted conflict leading to the economic crisis in Herat and Kandahar provinces. The program is funded by Mercy Corps HQ and implemented by Mercy Corps-Afghanistan Country Office (MCA).
The MPCA component of the program intends to serve as a first-line response mechanism, providing households with the ability to purchase urgent needs in line with their priorities. MCA will deliver MPCA to meet the basic and lifesaving needs of 1,190 food-insecure households (8,330 individuals) and will target some of the most marginalized households in Herat and Kandahar provinces.
Enumerators are responsible for proper and accurate registration of 350 participants in Kandahar and 840 households in Herat. The registration of HHs will be through the online ONA platform. Other responsibilities are as follows:
