Afghanistan Green Future Organization (AGFO) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Master Design Trainer. AGFO is a non-governmental organization committed to community capacity building and issue-based networking, with a primary focus on education, health, human rights, culture, media and social media, environment, and gender justice in Afghanistan. As a Master Design Trainer, the position holder will play a important role in planning, implementing, and overseeing projects aimed at achieving our organization's goals and making a positive impact on the lives of Afghans.
The role of the Master Design Trainer in the vocational training program of the Afghanistan Green Future Organization is crucial for empowering women in Kabul who belong to marginalized communities. The trainer will provide these women with valuable knowledge, skills, and expertise in various handicraft techniques, embroidery styles, and casual designs.
One important aspect of this role is the preservation of cultural heritage. During the training, the trainer will emphasize the significance of traditional handicraft techniques, embroidery styles, and designs. By highlighting the historical importance of these artistic traditions, the trainer will inspire the trainees to incorporate cultural elements into their modern creations. This not only contributes to the community's cultural identity but also ensures that traditional craftsmanship can be passed down to future generations.
Moreover, the Master Design Trainer will go beyond teaching technical skills. She will also encourage entrepreneurship among the trainees. By fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, the trainer will motivate women to explore income-generating activities and establish their own businesses in the handicraft industry. Through mentorship and guidance, the trainer will help them develop business strategies, understand the market, and effectively promote their products. Equipping the trainees with entrepreneurial skills will empower them to become self-reliant and break the cycle of poverty in their communities.
As the Master Design Trainer, she will work closely with the vocational training program's monitoring and evaluation team to assess the program's progress and impact. The trainer will provide insights and feedback on the trainees' skill development, market success, and overall program outcomes. This input will contribute to continuous improvement and ensure that the program effectively achieves its goals.
Roles and Responsibilities of Master Design Trainer in Handicraft, Embroidery, and Other Casual Designs include:
The position holder shall possess a combination of expertise and experience in various handicraft techniques, embroidery styles, and casual designs. In addition to their technical knowledge, she must also possess excellent teaching and communication skills to effectively convey design concepts, techniques, and instructions to trainees. Moreover, a strong sense of creativity, artistic flair, and design proficiency is crucial for the Master Design Trainer to inspire and guide designers. Lastly, entrepreneurial knowledge, including familiarity with business development, marketing strategies, and entrepreneurship, is highly valuable, as it enables the Master Design Trainer to support trainees in establishing their businesses.
