Overview:

As a Cleaner health center inside Female prisons you will play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for clients, staff, and visitors within the health center inside female prisons. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will contribute to the overall well-being and positive experience of individuals accessing health center services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Facility Cleaning:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks throughout the health center inside female prisons premises, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in all areas such as reception areas, waiting rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities are stocked and readily available for use, replenishing as needed to maintain adequate levels.

2. Waste Management:

• Collect and dispose of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with established procedures and regulations, including separating and sorting waste into appropriate bins for recycling, composting, or disposal.
• Monitor and empty trash receptacles regularly, replacing liners as necessary to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

3. Surface Disinfection:

• Follow proper disinfection protocols and guidelines to clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, fixtures, and equipment to prevent the spread of germs and infections.
• Pay special attention to frequently used areas and items, such as door handles, handrails, countertops, and equipment, to ensure thorough disinfection.

4. Restroom Maintenance:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms thoroughly, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures, using appropriate cleaning products and techniques to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Replenish restroom supplies, such as hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, as needed to ensure availability for DIC clients, staff, and visitors.

5. Safety and Security:

• Maintain awareness of safety hazards and potential security risks within the health center of female prisons’ premises, promptly reporting any concerns or incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and using cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly.

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude toward teamwork and collaboration.
