Job Descriptions:

We are seeking a highly skilled Coal Power Plant Engineer with extensive experience in coal-fired power generation and transmission line management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in power plant operations, maintenance, and optimization, coupled with expertise in electrical transmission systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient and reliable operation of our coal-fired power plants while actively participating in the development of sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coal Power Plant Operations: Manage and oversee the daily operations of coal-fired power plants, ensuring efficient and reliable generation of electricity.
  2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Lead maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance scheduling, equipment inspections, and troubleshooting of plant machinery and systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  3. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the coal power plant, implementing solutions to enhance performance and reduce operating costs.
  4. Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards governing coal-fired power generation, implementing measures to mitigate environmental impact and ensure sustainable operation.
  5. Safety and Risk Management: Promote a culture of safety and adherence to best practices in occupational health and safety, conducting risk assessments and implementing safety protocols to safeguard personnel and assets.
  6. Transmission Line Management: Utilize expertise in electrical transmission systems to oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of transmission lines, ensuring reliability and efficiency in power distribution.
  7. Project Management: Lead or contribute to projects related to plant upgrades, expansions, or modifications, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation within budget and schedule constraints.
  8. Training and Development: Provide technical guidance and training to plant personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development to enhance team performance and capabilities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in coal-fired power plant operations and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of coal combustion processes, boiler systems, turbines, and associated auxiliary equipment.
  • Proficiency in electrical transmission systems, including design principles, equipment specifications, and maintenance practices.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and environmental management in the energy sector.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and cross-functional teams, with excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with plant performance analysis tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in power plant operations and maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.
