Job Descriptions:

JOB SUMMARY

The Admission Officer is responsible for attracting new students to Muslim English Language Institute (MELI) by providing excellent customer service, conducting placement assessments, and completing student registration. They also handle fee collections and prepare financial reports.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide appealing presentations to customers, showcasing MELI services and convincing them to join the institute.
  • Offer overall counseling services to customers, employing persuasion techniques to encourage them to choose MELI.
  • Conduct placement tests for students, including the LADO and talk & talk assessments.
  • Complete student registration in the ERP system, inputting contact details, personal information, and photos.
  • Capture and record students' names and photos for printing ID cards.
  • Follow up with customers who have attended counseling sessions but have not yet joined MELI.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Academic Manager (AAM) regarding class timetables, ensuring convenient schedules for students.
  • Attend official meetings conducted by the Marketing department every Thursday.
  • Prepare sales reports related to follow-up students, converted students, packages, talk and talk appointments, and submit them to the Marketing department and CEO.
  • Collect fees from students, including admission fees, book fees, ID card fees, essential word book fees, etc.
  • Use spreadsheets and ERP systems to record and track fee collections.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of fee records.
  • Coordinate with students, parents, and the accounts team to resolve any fee-related issues.
  • Protect cash from theft and misuse
  • Answer the students’ questions about fees, discounts, and refund policies in the proper manner.
  • Balance the cash at the beginning and end of the day with the cash records in the system (ERP Vs MIS).
  • Prepare daily reports of fee collections.
  • Submit reports to the Branch Manager, Finance Manager and General Operation Coordinator.
  • Utilize spreadsheets and ERP systems to generate accurate and comprehensive reports.
  • Maintain transparency and accountability in financial reporting.
  • Transfer collected funds to concerned parties in accordance with established rules and regulations.
  • Safeguard the security of funds during transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the BM and Finance Manager.

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in BBA, or a related field.
  • 2 years’ experience relevant roles.
  • Proficient in using spreadsheets MS. Excel and ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess qualities of humility, maturity, respectfulness, honesty, and integrity.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills. 
  • Have command on both National Languages (Dari & Pashto)
