UNODC contributes to global peace and security, human rights, and development by making the world safer from drugs, crime, corruption, and terrorism by working with Member States to promote justice and the rule of law and build resilient societies.
The UNODC Country Office for Afghanistan is operating to identify and address aspects of drugs and crime in a rapidly evolving situation through advocacy, provision of policy advice by presenting reliable information on opium production, cultivation, and prices, and delivery of humanitarian and development assistance to the people of Afghanistan affected by drugs and associated crime; for instance, providing alternative livelihoods opportunities to improve lives and livelihoods as well as providing drug demand and harm reduction support to people affected by drug use and dependence.

This position is in the Country Office for Afghanistan, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) with a duty station in Kabul, Afghanistan. The incumbent will work under the overall guidance of the UNODC Representative for Afghanistan, the administrative supervision of the UNODC Head of Administration and the technical supervision of the Team Leader, Global Field Office Support – ITS/UNODC HQ, the Information Technology Associate shall be assisting in the duties mentioned below.
