Job Descriptions:

An IT Officer, also known as an IT Support Officeror IT Technician, is responsible for maintaining and managing the organization's information technology systems, hardware, software, and networks. The job description of an IT Officer typically includes the following responsibilities:

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Providing technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Setting up and managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
  • Monitoring system performance and ensuring proper functioning of IT systems and networks.
  • Performing regular backups and ensuring data security and integrity.
  • Recommending and implementing IT security measures to protect against cyber threats.
  • smooth running of computer systems, routers, switches, and internet and ensure users get maximum benefits from them.
  • Setup, install and configure new Devices, Computers, Servers, and software according to the HHRO Organization needs.
  • Verify functionality of hardware and software components
  • Handled and troubleshoot technical issues of Servers, Networks, Printers.
  • Researches and recommends the acquisition of network hardware and software.
  • Running regular checks on network and data security.
  • Apply security on network resources (Servers, PCs, Routers, Switches, WAPs, Printers, Shared Drives, Websites, and Applications).
  • Monitor and maintain the backup system to take the backup of the organization’s important data.
  • Monitor the social media and apply different strategies to engage more visitors.
  • Update the HHRO website regularly
  • Creating designs for office visibility and printings
  • Regularly check and control the internet connection, be in close contact with the net provider company;
  • Conducting training sessions for staff on IT tools, systems, and best practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and equivalent to the field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repair and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of computer networking, LAN, WLAN installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Web, Database designing and development.
  • Excellent knowledge of virtual platforms.
  • Ability to configure and implement Remote Access solutions.
  • Ability to identify and define IT-related problems and solve them in a due manner.
