About (CHA) Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance:

Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, Community development, and DMRA sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through implementing Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with rehabilitating rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Duties & Responsibilities: 

 

  • Oversee the implementation of the Cash for Work (CFW) and Wheat Packages Project in Farah.
  • Develop detailed project implementation plans, work schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and project partners.
  • Collaborate with the project team and guide project activities.
  • Monitor project progress and identify challenges or bottlenecks.
  • Propose solutions to overcome implementation challenges.
  • Ensure project activities are implemented effectively, efficiently, and on time.
  • Monitor the quality and impact of project interventions.
  • Collect and analyze data on project indicators to track progress.
  • Prepare timely and accurate project reports, including progress reports and financial reports.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Conduct community consultations to ensure community participation.
  • Represent the project in coordination meetings and workshops.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Document project activities, including case studies and success stories.
  • Contribute to the development of project-related communication materials.
  • Have proven experience in project management and implementation.
  • Familiarity with cash-based interventions and livelihood programs.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and local languages.
  • Knowledge of the local context in Farah or similar regions.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask effectively.
  • Understanding of the humanitarian or development sector.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in challenging and dynamic environments.
  • Commitment to project sustainability and positive community impact.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (development studies, social sciences, project management …etc).
  • Proven experience in project management and implementation, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
  • Familiarity with cash-based interventions, livelihood programs, and food assistance projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and local languages is required.
  • Knowledge of the local context in Farah or similar regions is an advantage.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, and reporting is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging and dynamic environments.
