 HealthNet TPO in Afghanistan aims to improve the health status of the people in Afghanistan by supporting the local communities and stakeholder in the development of a sustainable health care system.  HealthNet TPO is working in Afghanistan since 1994, implementing integrated health projects managed mainly by national staff and supported technically by expatriate staff from the headquarter office. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary and secondary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. Health Net TPO is currently implementing projects in 22 provinces and the major programs are Health Emergency Response (B/EPHS) projects in three provinces, nutrition, Mental Health, Psychosocial program, Malaria and TB Control program, through a community system strengthening approach.

HealthNet TPO has a zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse. HNITPO takes seriously all concerns and complaints about sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse involving HNITPO employees and Related Personnel

 

Job Descriptions:

  • Eye care ward data entry in the relevant databases on regular base
  • Provision of monthly reports of the eye care ward
  • Ensure data consistency and accuracy
  • Data visualization of the project and updating on monthly base
  • Timely appraisal of any data entry problems (e.g. missing data / forms) and liaison with the HMIS senior officer, pharmacy manager or Kabul HMIS team to resolve them
  • Tracking of the project activities and indicators target to ensure that achievements are on track
  • Root cause analysis with the eye ward staff and finding solutions for the backlogs
  • Check the registers and data collection tools for proper completion and maintaining
  • Filing and appropriate storage of all data hard copy forms so that they may be examined at any time
  • Proper filling and documentation of the eye ward
  • Provision of purchasing requests for the eye ward based on available balance and needs in coordination with the ophthalmologist
  • Provision of pharmacy consumption monthly report
  • Ensure proper use of the supplied items to ensure accountability and transparency
  • Updating inventory on quarterly base and reporting to the lien manager
  • Ensure maintenance of the medical equipment
  • Regular back-up saving of the databases
  • Maintain good working relations with the rest of the project team.
  • Provide regular feedbacks to HFs for improving the data quality
  • Maintain data integrity
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Extract and tabulate data as per needs for management team
  • Photography from the project activities and provision of success stories on regular base
  • Provide support to the project monitors and evaluators during the project monitoring and evaluation
  • Provision of corrective action plan in coordination with project staff for all findings and follow up of the plan
  • Provision of support to other project activities outside from the hospital (outreach camp, school screening, primary health care HFs training and supply)
  • Assist eye ward staff and hospital HMIS in their relevant duties  
  • Any other task assigned by line manager

Job Requirements:

  • Graduated from recognized nursing faculty and Public Health
  • Have Minimum 2-year experience in health related data entry/HMIS  
  • Computer skills (ability to work with Word and Excel, and Power Point)
  • Fluency in Pashto / Dari with adequate knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Punctual, accurate and honest
