Job Descriptions:

Scope of work:

Counter TIP and SOM Trainer will work under the supervision of Project Team Leader and will be responsible for the following

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize sensitization events for community (counter drug use and TIP and SOM).
  • Develop and implement, as assigned, specific trainings in accordance with GLO.ACT’s approach to implementation, with a special focus on criminal cases in remote areas
  • Organize sensitization events for youth (sport tournament) with engagement of local media and dissemination of IEC materials on prevention of drug use and TIP and SOM.
  • Organize sensitization events for youth (sport tournament) with engagement of local media and dissemination of IEC materials on prevention of drug use and TIP and SOM.
  • Capacity building training courses (four days) on evidence-based drug treatment (UNODC treatment training package) and basic counseling services to 50 service providers.
  • Capacity-building on intervention to reduce negative impact of substances use and TIP and SOM for services providers.
  • Training for health practitioners (female and male) in the Kandahar clinic on early victim-centered and gender sensitive identification and assistance of potential victims of human trafficking and migrant smuggling, and victims of gender-based violence among vulnerable populations such as substance dependents, including children and families at risk.
  • Provide trauma-informed counselling to victims of trafficking and migrant smuggling.
  • Raise awareness among patients of the Kandahar clinic and vulnerable communities on human trafficking and migrant smuggling.
  • Prepare/draft a variety of written outputs, such as background papers, correspondence with governments, working papers, mission reports, briefings, presentations

Contribute to the implementation of the project’s communication and visibility plan

Job Requirements:

Perform other work related duties as required.

Education:

University graduate with 2 years of experience

Institute graduate with 4 years of experience
