Job Descriptions:

Positon Overview:

The Project Assistant will provide essential support to the project manager and project team in the implementation of Taskeen initiatives in Jalalabad and Kabul Province. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate project activities and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities of Project Assistant:

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of project-related documents, including reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Maintain project files and databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, expenditures, and documentation.
  • Arrange meetings, workshops, and other project events, including logistics coordination and participant communication.
  • Facilitate communication between project team members, partners, and stakeholders by scheduling meetings, circulating agendas, and taking meeting minutes.
  • Serve as a focal point for inquiries and requests related to the project, responding promptly and professionally to all communication channels.
  • Support the collection and compilation of data for project monitoring and evaluation purposes, including data entry, cleaning, and analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports, donor reports, and other project-related documentation as needed.
  • Assist in procurement processes, including obtaining quotations, preparing purchase requests, and tracking delivery of goods and services.
  • Coordinate logistics for project activities, such as venue booking, transportation arrangements, and procurement of materials and supplies.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, public health, international development, business administration or related field.
  • Previous experience in project administration, coordination, or support role preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet research.
  • Fluency in English and Dari/Pashto languages (both written and spoken).
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles, ethical standards, and confidentiality in mental health programming.
