NOVE, a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities, is seeking an experienced Female Psychologist to join our team in Kapisa, Afghanistan. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing essential psychological support to children.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct individual psychological assessments for each child to understand their background, trauma history, and psychological status.
2. Develop personalised treatment plans for each child, addressing their specific emotional and psychological needs.
3. Provide individual counselling and support to children on a weekly basis or as needed, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each child's needs.
4. Organise and facilitate monthly group sessions and conduct group activities using play therapy, art therapy, storytelling, and other therapeutic modalities suitable for children and adolescents.
5. Facilitate psychoeducation sessions on topics such as emotional regulation, coping strategies, and conflict resolution.
6. Collaborate with the orphanage staff and other stakeholders to ensure the holistic well-being of the children.
7. Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and assessments.
