Kandahar Refugee Organization (KRO) is a national-level, non-political, non-profitable, non-governmental organization working for humanitarian and rehabilitation roots in Afghanistan. Further, KRO is an Afghan organization that is committed to the development of the local economy and building local capacity for sustainable development. Thus, we have an established specialized network in many provinces of the country in order to design, and implement related activities in the field of food security, research, capacity building, disaster management, and placement.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Supporting the Project Manager in overseeing and leading projects from start to end.
  2. Responsible for the completeness, quality, and timely submission of project progress reports.
  3. Supervise, monitor, and evaluate implementation of the projects.
  4. Represent the organization through participation at provincial level meetings, coordination group meetings, stakeholder meetings and other social and governmental meetings in the province.
  5. Orient project staff on the project scope and specific and individual activities.
  6. Write regular progress and completion reports on the implementation of project activities for both internal and external use.
  7. Support the project manager in day-to-day management and supervision of the project staff, including recruitment, staff evaluation, and on-the-job orientation and trainings.
  8. Promote team building, open communication among field staff and main office.
  9. Support the project manager in project budget management and project expenditures and putting in place responsible accountability systems to ensure responsible and efficient project spendings.
  10. Support the administrative, HR, Logistics, and procurement aspect of the project.
  1. Support to ensure a safe and secure working environments for the project staff where all project staff are working in best of their interest.
  2. Support to ensure that all operations and implementations are according to the organizational rules and polices and align with donor requirements.
  3. Making sure that all project indicators are met.
  4. Performing regular project site visits throughout the south region to trace the project as per requirements and schedule.
  5. Offering new solutions to the project within limited resources and ensuring the project is completed within the certain period.
  6. Support the project manager in developing new projects proposals.
  7. Develop schedules and plans for assigned projects.
  8. Prepare presentations on the project progress.
  9. Ensure good communication within KRO offices, stakeholders, local communities, and local authorities.
  10. Coordinate the project activities with local government authorities, communities, and related stakeholders at provincial level.
  11. Maintain internal control of project activities at regional level.
  12. Make sure that the project activities are being implemented according to project work plan, performance indicators and targets.
  13. Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration
  2. At least 4 years of project management experience
  3. Excellent communication skills and English Proficiency, both oral and written
  4. Excellent computer skills in MS Office Package
  5. Outstanding team building and management skills.
  6. Negotiation and decision-making skills
  7. Ability to make decision and get measurable results through a diverse team.
  8. Ability to manage and direct a multicultural and multi-disciplinary team.
  9. Time-management and organization skills
