MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle technical escalations from Level 1 and Level 2 teams.
• Troubleshoot deep technical issues in SUN-UNIX environments running on the different hardware & technologies to resolution.
• Installation and Administration of Solaris OS 9 & 10.
• Installation and Configuration of Sun Servers and Sun Storages.
• Administration of Sun Cluster, Backup, SVM, H/W RAID.
• Experience in Sun Servers from entry level to mid / high range. Ideally including Sun Fire V880/890, E6900 & M9000, M8-8 Enterprise systems.
• Performs activities related to implementation, maintenance and support of SUN Solaris platform, systems & storage arrays.
• Provide system administration for critical servers / workstations /Networks.
• Develop and optimize software tools for test data management.
• Managing Red Hat Enterprise and Ubuntu Server, assisting with internal and external Web development efforts.
• Knowledge in LVM and scripting/shell scripting and understanding on troubleshooting and server management.
• Handle the responsibilities of being a technical interface for specific clients.
• Provide weekly and monthly status reports on projects.
•  Provides 24/7 support for critical situations and handles business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide a commercial advantage.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management information system (MIS) or Computer Science (CS) with educational focus combining technical, problem-solving, and management skills

EXPERINCES

• 5 to 6 years of overall experience in IT services and systems management including servers & storages management.
• 3 to 2 years of experience in the administration of SUN-UNIX systems using SUN Machines and REHL Environment.
• Experience with SC9K, PowerStore, M9000, E6900 and V880/890 SUNFIRE systems.
