About ORCDG:

ORCD Global Inc. is a U.S. based non-governmental, and not-for-profit founded in 2017. ORCDG was registered in the State of California, United States of America (USA) on 05 November 2017 (Registration No: C4076735). Later, it was registered as an international organization in Afghanistan in December 2018 (Registration number 460).

ORCDG has so far implemented 21 projects in various provinces of Afghanistan, and  currently has around 6 ongoing projects in Kabul, Paktya, Parwan, Baghlan, Ghazni, Paktika and Kunduz provinces.

Job Descriptions:

  • Visit all villages and areas where the projects of ORCDG are being implemented and document the progress and impact of the interventions through photos and videos.
  • Take high-quality photos and videos of construction of deep wells, solar powered wells, shelter construction projects, food and non-food items distribution projects, and other activities as required.
  • Edit photos and videos using appropriate software and tools to enhance the visual appeal and clarity of the media.
  • Compile and organize the media collected from the field in a systematic and accessible manner.
  • Coordinate with the project managers, communication officers, and other staff to ensure the media meets the needs and expectations of the organization and the donors.
  • Adhere to the ethical and security standards of the organization and respect the dignity and privacy of the beneficiaries and the communities.
  • Report any issues or challenges encountered in the field to the supervisor and seek guidance and support as needed.
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • At least a 12th grade certificate, bachelor’s degree in photography, media, journalism, or other related field is an advantage but not required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in photography and videography, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
  • Proficient in using various cameras, lenses, lighting, and other equipment for photography and videography. Should be fully familiar with the usage and all options of DSLR camera, Digital Cameras, and Drone Cameras.
  • Proficient in using various software and tools for editing photos and videos, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluent in both national languages (Pashto and Dari), knowledge of English will be a plus.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently to remote areas for extended periods.
  • Passionate about the mission and vision of ORCDG and committed to the values and principles of the organization.
