Job Descriptions:

Duties & Responsibilities:

BSFP Focal Point Responsibilities including, but are not limited to the following duties.

  • Work closely with the Provincial Manager to prepare bi-weekly or monthly field visits plans to the districts FDPs with clear objectives and checklists.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Community Mobilizer to conduct registration and verification of BSFP beneficiaries using the standard registration materials and guidelines in close collaboration with local Community Committees.
  • Assist and accompany the Monitor during field visits and provide the needed support as requested.
  • Submit weekly reports to the Provincial including checklists of field visits to FDPs   and follow-up 
  • Ensure high quality of implementing the project activities of conducting the registration and verification of BSFP beneficiaries using the standard registration materials and guidelines according to donor standards.
  • Ensure that the distribution of the BSFP commodities is in the right entitlements as per MoPH protocols in close collaboration with local Community Committees.
  • Conduct regular visits to the districts and FDPs warehouses to check the commodities, the applied archiving system of the commodities movement and the status of the warehouse documents.
  • Collect the complaints forms from the complaints boxes in each FDP regularly.
  • Organize the distribution points to ensure safety and protection of beneficiaries.
  • Conduct Focus Groups Discussion with beneficiaries for information sharing about the project activities, targeting criteria, and the Complaints and Feedback Mechanism, as well as to obtain lessons learned.
  • Check the Food Distribution Points (FDPs) records, reports and documents after each distribution cycle and coordinate to deliver them to the Supervisor of the project.
  • Maintain proper filing systems and storage of all project documents, reports and other relevant technical materials (both hard and soft copies).
  • Comply with ASIO policies and procedures with respect to code of conduct, child protection, equal opportunities, security and safety, and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Commit to the humanitarian principles of strict neutrality, religious and political impartiality and non-discrimination.
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested by the Provincial Manager.

Committed to fraud prevention, detection, reporting and fraud risk reduction as per ASIO policies and procedures, donor regulations and local laws.

 

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA):

  • Actively promote PSEA standards within Afghanistan Social Improvement Organization “ASIO” and amongst beneficiaries served by within Afghanistan Social Improvement Organization “ASIO”.

 

Compliance & Ethics:

  • Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout and within Afghanistan Social Improvement Organization “ASIO”. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of within Afghanistan Social Improvement Organization “ASIO” and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts tasks with the highest level of integrity.

Job Requirements:

 Core Competencies:

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with a range of individuals and groups.

 

Skills: conflict sensitivity analysis, good spoken and written skills of local languages. Computer Skills Ms. Office package, team work and have the skills to coordinate a multi- disciplinary team.

EDUCATION At least high school degree (Bachelor and Master degreee is Preferable).

WORK EXPERIENCEAt least 2-3 years’ relevant experience health, nutrition, nursing and in Humanitarian Development Program and related fields preferably in National & International Organizations.

LANGUAGES SKILLS: Dari & Pashto & English
