Job Descriptions:

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Health Environmental Safety (HES) Engineer to join our team. The HES Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, occupational health, environment engineering and a commitment to maintaining safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop plan, and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures for construction projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Provide training to construction teams on safety procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Monitor construction activities to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate with project managers and contractors to ensure that safety standards are met.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections and audits.
  • Perform additional duties relevant to the project, including the responsibility for processing and finalizing project closure documents upon contract completion.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. A relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in health, environmental, and safety management, preferably in a similar industry or organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and management methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of incident and emergency response procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in conducting training and awareness programs is desirable.
