Purchasing Assistant Job Description: Top Duties and Qualifications:

  • Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department.
  • Receiving and recording all PRs from the requestors and field sites, preparing and distributing quotation requests to vendors. Where applicable visit vendors to ensure their credibility and capacity.
  • Issued the purchase orders (POs) efforts were made to ensure that the goods were received in accordance with the specifications outlined in the Purchase Orders.
  • Before confirming the invoice, check the quality and quantity of the goods/services prior to effecting the payments.
  • Monitors supervise and document the inventory of purchased materials and equipment in accordance with MRCA/Relief International regulation
  • Documents and files properly completed orders.
  • Attended meetings with project managers to advise/contribute to facilitate yearly plan.
  • Supported the requesters for providing the technical specifications.
  • Shared the newly introduced rules and regulation within the unit and make sure that the rules are implemented properly.
  • Take part in the opening of inquiries and recommended the reliable/experienced suppliers with the most competitive prices
  • Provided and keep documents from whole activities on soft and hard copies.
  • Filling of all procurement documents.
  • Management of the daily office running items/ replacing procurement operational staff in their absence.
  • Regular market surveys for price deviation.
  • Implementing Organization’s procurement policies and procedures
  • Performed other duties and tasks at the request of management

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

Experience:

  • Approximate of two years work experience.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Dari (Pashto is nice to have)
  •  Excellent English language skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking)
  •  Able to hard work and honestly  
  • Computer literate (proficient with MS office Package
