Afghan’s Peace, Transparency, and Leadership Organization (APTLO) is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental national Afghan NGO established in Herat, Afghanistan, in 2019 and registered on 19/6/2019 with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic Government of Afghanistan. APTLO aims to rebuild Afghanistan by breaking the cycles of violence, poverty, and injustice through means of sustainable economic and social investment. APTLO’s main target groups are the most vulnerable in society – orphans, widows, refugees, and the disabled.

Job Descriptions:

The Field Officer will work closely with community members, beneficiaries, and local stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of project activities in Herat province. They will engage with participants, organize community events, and facilitate outreach programs. The Field Officer will gather field-level data, support participant needs, and act as a liaison between the project team and the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Engaging with beneficiaries and local communities for project implementation.
  2. Organizing community events, workshops, and outreach programs.
  3. Conducting field visits, collecting data, and monitoring participant progress.
  4. Liaising between project teams, beneficiaries, and community leaders.
  5. Addressing participant needs, concerns, and providing necessary support.
  6. Conducting thorough assessments to understand the specific needs and challenges faced by the local community regarding employment, education, and skill development.
  7. Implementing strategies to identify and recruit eligible participants from the local community, ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunity for all potential beneficiaries.
  8. Organizing information sessions and promotional events to raise awareness about the project and encourage participation among target groups.
  9. Providing ongoing guidance, counseling, and support to participants throughout the training program, addressing their concerns, and facilitating access to resources or additional assistance as needed.
  10. Ensuring that participants are aware of the program's objectives, requirements, and expectations, maintaining open lines of communication.
  11. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and relevant organizations to facilitate smooth project implementation and garner community support.
  12. Assisting in organizing and coordinating logistical aspects of training sessions, workshops, or events held within the community, ensuring smooth execution and participation.
  13. Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability when engaging with diverse community members, respecting local customs, norms, and sensitivities throughout project activities.
  14. Reporting on field-level activities, challenges, and community engagement.

  • Good reporting skills including compilation, analysis & presentation

Job Requirements:

  • Al least Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related fields, Master's Degree in mentioned fields is an advantage.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in the management sector

Computer skills:        

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office application + MS Project and Data Analysis.

Languages:

  • Excellent speaking, writing and understanding of English and Dari are required.
