Technical Education and Skills Training Organization (TESTO) is an Afghan nonprofit, nonpolitical and nongovernmental organization steadfast to the relief, welfare, and prosperity, of Afghan communities even in the remotest parts of the country. The organization is duly licensed to operate and registered with the Ministry of Economy under registration number 1613 in the year 2013, the Ministry of Education under license number 323, the Ministry of Labor Social Affairs Martyrs and Disables under license number 4, and Women’s Affairs under the license number 534. The organization has years of collaboration with government line ministries, UN- agencies, other local NGOs, INGOs, and the international donor community.
The Logistics Officer will play a crucial role in the NFI Kits Distribution Project in Zendahjan district of Herat province, ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of logistics and supply chain activities.
3. Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management:
Oversee the procurement process for NFI kits and related materials.
Ensure timely delivery of supplies to the distribution site.
4. Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of all received and distributed items.
Conduct regular inventory checks to prevent shortages or overstock.
5. Distribution Planning:
Collaborate with project manager to develop distribution plans.
Coordinate logistics for the transportation of NFI kits to distribution sites.
6. Vendor Management:
Identify and liaise with reliable vendors for supplies.
Negotiate favourable terms and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain detailed logistics reports.
Document any discrepancies or issues related to the supply chain.
8. Compliance:
Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and compliance standards.
Collaborate with the project team to address any logistics-related challenges.
9. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, Master is preferred.
Proven maximum 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
Ability to speak and understand Dari and Pashto languages, English language is an asset.
Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
