About AWEC:

AWEC is a non-political, non-profit, woman-headed national organization established in 1991 by a group of educated Afghan women in exile, who rallied together to address the lack of facilities for Afghan refugees in Islamabad and eventually Peshawar, in Pakistan. AWEC has always been involved in advocacy and awareness-raising for women and children’s rights while providing services to those who frequently fall through safety nets. In recent years, one of AWEC’s core activities has been to support women through mobilizing Afghans, from local communities to political elites, towards the goal of reducing and eventually eliminating violence against women.

Job Descriptions:

Position Objective

The purpose of the HR Coordinator is to implement delegated areas of responsibility. The purpose of the job is to make sure that the Human resources issues within the central area is managed, filed, and reported timely. The post holder is responsible for the implementation of AWEC HR-related activities, policies, and procedures at the area level. Under the supervision of AWEC head of HR/Senior HR officer maintain an effective and efficient HR management system for both AWEC main office and its sub-offices.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in Maintaining Personnel Files of staff at both Capital and provincial levels
  • Manage Incoming & Outgoing letters related to HR
  • Collecting Monthly timesheets of staff from both provincial and main office level
  • Keeping proper track of leave forms from both provincial and main office level
  • Maintaining staff personnel files’ records in scan copies
  • Circulating the updated HR formats to staff from time to time
  • Assist in preparing the monthly payroll with Head of HR/Senior HR Officer
  • Perform any other task relevant to HR
  • Responding to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and providing assistance
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Maintaining records of personnel-related data in both paper and the database and ensuring all employment requirements are met
  • Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits, etc.)
  • Assist supervisors in performance management procedures
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, etc. and maintain the team’s agenda
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars at both office and provincial level
  • Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with newly hired staff
  • Performing other duties assigned by the line supervisor

Technical oversight

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Good knowledge of HR attendance and HRMIS systems

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS
