Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities

A. Graphic Design

  • Design professional posters, banners, brochures, flyers, advertisements, certificates, invitations, and other print materials.
  • Design creative and engaging content for social media platforms, including posts, stories, campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Develop visual materials for health awareness, educational, promotional, and public information campaigns.
  • Ensure consistency with the hospital’s branding, logo, typography, colors, and visual identity.
  • Prepare final artwork in appropriate formats and specifications for both digital publication and printing.
  • Revise and update designs based on management feedback and requirements.
  • Maintain an organized archive of design files and editable source materials.

B. Video Production and Photography

  • Plan and record promotional, educational, informational, and institutional videos.
  • Record professional interviews with doctors, specialists, staff, patients, and other relevant stakeholders, where authorized.
  • Capture photo and video content of hospital activities, events, campaigns, departments, and services as required.
  • Ensure appropriate framing, lighting, sound, composition, and overall technical quality during recording.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to collect accurate information and required visual content.

C. Video Editing and Post-Production

  • Edit and produce professional promotional, educational, interview, and informational videos.
  • Perform video cutting, sequencing, audio editing, transitions, subtitles, captions, and visual enhancements.
  • Add appropriate hospital branding, logos, titles, graphics, and other visual elements.
  • Prepare videos in appropriate formats, resolutions, and dimensions for social media and other communication channels.
  • Review completed videos for accuracy, quality, professionalism, and compliance with approved content.
  • Make revisions and adjustments based on management feedback.

D. Software and Technical Skills

  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Apply professional principles of graphic design, typography, composition, color, visual communication, and video editing.
  • Maintain proper organization, backup, and archiving of project files and digital assets.

E. Coordination, Compliance, and Other Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Public Relations, Marketing, Medical, Administrative, and other relevant departments to develop required content.
  • Ensure that medical, patient, and institutional information used in visual content is accurate and appropriately authorized.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information, photographs, videos, and other sensitive hospital information.
  • Obtain appropriate authorization before photographing or recording patients, staff, or clinical activities.
  • Support hospital campaigns, events, awareness programs, and other communication activities as required.
  • Stay updated on current graphic design, video production, social media, and digital content trends.
  • Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities assigned by the concerned management in accordance with the requirements of the department and hospital.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

 

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia, Media, Communications, Fine Arts, or another relevant field.

Professional Experience: 3 -5 years of relevant professional experience in graphic design, video production, and video editing. Experience in healthcare, corporate, media, advertising, or digital marketing environments is an advantage.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design and video editing capabilities.
  • Knowledge of photography, videography, lighting, composition, and audio recording.
  • Strong creativity, visual sense, attention to detail, and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work professionally in a hospital environment and respect patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; knowledge of English is an advantage.
