About Tabish Social Health Education organization:

The Organization of TABISH in Afghanistan is a non-governmental, non-political, not for  profit organization and humanitarian organization working in the field of psycho-social health, education as well as capacity development, and its activities are based on NGOs rules and regulations and others governmental procedure approved  by  the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan laws. TABISH has been established and registered with the Ministry of Economy (Reg # 1466) in 2009 and it has been registered with the Ministry of Public Health of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2012.
Currently Tabish providing mental health, Psychosocial, basic health /hygienic support, safe motherhood and CHW /TBA training for disadvantage population within IDP camps.
Tabish has plan to recruit Medical Doctor who have experiences  in trauma center such Orthopedic Surgery as well could conduct training of fist aid   for upcoming short term  project, to work with in Kabul and around provinces

Job Descriptions:

  • Provide direct support to TABISH staff  in project implementation;
  • Monitor activities in the field and provide technical support where needed;
  • Engage the men and women of the community in discussions around women’s rights and psychosocial support;
  • Lead the provision of psychosocial support and outreach and cash for protection components
  • Capacity building of relevant counsellors towards assisting the victims;
  • Lead the referrals of human rights’ violations and issues to appropriate organizations for further assistance and support;
  • Attend relevant cluster/working group meetings hosted by other NGOs and UN agencies that address protection and human rights issues of concerned population;
  • Draft reports detailing human rights’ violations and issues related to protection/PSS and efforts to mitigate or eliminate them.
  • Collect information on IDPs/returnees population movements, forced return and arbitrary arrest;
  • Support protection related advocacy initiatives;
  • Submit weekly progress reports of the activities to line manager;
  • Perform other duties, as needed or requested.
  • SupportTABISH staff on how to identify signs of possible abuse affecting the beneficiaries at the community level to encountered through outreach and awareness raising activities
  • Support/give outreach to other local actors and community members on psychological first aid (PFA), identification and referral of persons in need of psychosocial support, including principles of working with children and survivors.

 

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in  Psychology or Social sciences,
  • An understanding of the basic principles of humanitarian work, human rights, protection, and the needs of internally displaced persons and refugees in Afghanistan.
  • Interest in humanitarian work and human rights, ability and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to clearly express one’s thoughts, to analyze and present information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to set priorities and show initiative, to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
