Quality Assurance (QA) Officer

Maihan Humanitarian Convergence Organization (MHCO) is a national non-government, non-political, and non-profit organization registered with the Ministry of Economy, committed to delivering humanitarian services across Afghanistan. MHCO focuses on various sectors including Health, Education, Protection, Nutrition, LivelihoodS, Food Security, and Organizational Development.

The QA Officer ensures that all translated materials meet MHCO’s quality standards, including accuracy, consistency, formatting, terminology use, and compliance with internal procedures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance checks on translated documents across English, Dari, and Pashto.
• Verify accuracy, completeness, terminology consistency, and formatting.
• Ensure translations preserve meaning, tone, and technical terminology.
• Review adherence to organizational glossaries and style guides.
• Ensure secure handling and confidentiality of all documents.
• Maintain QA records, checklists, and quality reports.
• Coordinate with translators, editors, and proofreaders to resolve quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement of translation processes and standards.

• Master’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Communications, or related field.
• Valid TOEFL/IELTS certification.

Required Experience

• Minimum 8 years experience in translation quality assurance or related fields.
• Experience with technical, humanitarian, legal, and communication materials.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and quality assessment skills.
• Excellent command of English, Dari, and Pashto.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines.
