Graphic Designer

RPOA is a non-profit, non-governmental Afghan organization serving vulnerable communities and households across multiple provinces of Afghanistan. RPOA implements humanitarian and development programs across several sectors, including education, health and nutrition, livelihoods, food security, agriculture, and emergency response, with a particular focus on underserved and hard-to-reach areas of the country.

We are seeking a creative, skilled, and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team in Kabul. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing high-quality visual concepts and creative materials that effectively communicate ideas, support organizational objectives, and engage target audiences.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of graphic design and production materials, including advertisements, brochures, reports, publications, social media content, and other organizational communication materials. The position requires creativity, strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative and visually appealing designs for digital and print materials.
• Create visual concepts using graphic design software and, where appropriate, hand-drawn techniques.
• Design layouts and production materials for advertisements, brochures, publications, magazines, reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
• Develop graphics and visual content for social media and other digital platforms.
• Ensure consistency with organizational branding, visual identity, and communication standards.
• Collaborate with team members to understand design requirements and translate ideas into effective visual products.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks according to deadlines.
• Prepare final artwork and files in appropriate formats for printing and digital publication.
• Maintain organized design files and ensure proper archiving of completed materials.
• Stay informed about current graphic design trends, tools, and best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of visual design principles, including layout, typography, color, composition, and visual hierarchy.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and able to produce high-quality work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in social media design, digital content creation, and branding is an advantage.
• A relevant design portfolio is highly desirable.
