Job Description

The Cleaner/Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional working environment while carrying out basic maintenance and repair tasks for the organization's offices and facilities. The position supports the day-to-day operation of the office by ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and the proper functioning of office equipment and infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean offices, meeting rooms, corridors, kitchens, washrooms, and other office areas on a daily basis.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all office premises.
  • Clean and disinfect toilets and replenish hygiene supplies.
  • Empty waste bins and ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.
  • Clean office furniture, windows, doors, and office equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the office compound and surrounding areas.
  • Prepare meeting rooms before meetings and clean them afterward.
  • Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are used efficiently and stored safely.
  • Conduct routine inspections of office facilities and identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform minor repairs such as fixing door locks, windows, furniture, plumbing fixtures, and electrical fittings where appropriate.
  • Replace light bulbs, electrical switches, water taps, and other minor fixtures.
  • Assist in the maintenance of generators, water pumps, air conditioners, fans, and other office equipment.
  • Coordinate with external technicians for major repairs when required.
  • Monitor the condition of office facilities and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Support office setup, furniture arrangement, and equipment installation during meetings or events.
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Follow occupational health and safety procedures.
  • Report safety hazards, damages, or security concerns immediately.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities as assigned,
  • Assgin any other duties by line supervsior 

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • At least 3–4 years of relevant experience in cleaning and facility maintenance.
  • knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or general maintenance is an advantage.
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment and maintenance tools safely.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
