Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented IT Assistant to support the organization's day-to-day information technology operations. The IT Assistant will provide technical support to employees, maintain computer systems and networks, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist in ensuring the smooth operation of all IT equipment and services.

Job Requirements

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, printers, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
  • Set up user accounts, email accounts, and system access permissions.
  • Assist with software installation, updates, and system upgrades.
  • Monitor and maintain IT inventory, including computers, accessories, and software licenses.
  • Perform routine maintenance, backups, and security updates.
  • Support network connectivity, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and internet-related issues.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and IT procedures.
  • Assist in implementing cybersecurity best practices and ensuring data security.
  • Coordinate with vendors and senior IT staff for advanced technical support when required.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on basic IT systems and applications.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • 2–3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role (preferred).
    • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, networking, and computer hardware.
    • Familiarity with printers, scanners, and other office technology.
    • Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles is an advantage.
