Hamkar Noor Limited Company is seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to work at its concrete pole manufacturing factory.

 

Job Description

Job Summary

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for supervising the production of reinforced concrete poles, conducting laboratory tests, controlling the quality of concrete and construction materials, and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, mix designs, and quality standards.

The selected candidate will also support the company in reviewing project specifications, calculating material quantities, preparing estimates, and determining production and project costs.

Strong knowledge of concrete technology and construction materials is essential. Candidates with experience in concrete works, construction projects, precast concrete production, laboratory testing, and project estimation will be given priority.

Job Requirements

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise the production process of reinforced concrete poles and other concrete products.
  • Ensure production complies with approved drawings, technical specifications, mix designs, and quality standards.
  • Inspect cement, sand, aggregates, reinforcement steel, water, and other construction materials.
  • Conduct or supervise concrete and material tests, including slump, cube or cylinder, compressive-strength, moisture-content, and sieve-analysis tests.
  • Monitor concrete batching, mixing, casting, compaction, curing, reinforcement placement, and finished-product quality.
  • Maintain laboratory, production, and quality-control records and prepare regular technical reports.
  • Identify quality or production problems and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review drawings, Bills of Quantities, technical specifications, and tender documents.
  • Calculate material quantities and assist in preparing cost estimates, quotations, and Bills of Quantities.
  • Assist management in calculating the total production cost of concrete poles and other projects.
  • Provide technical support for construction activities and project-site inspections when required.
  • Perform other related technical duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete technology, construction materials, laboratory testing, and quality control.
  • Ability to read drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
  • Ability to calculate quantities, material requirements, production costs, and project estimates.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Good reporting, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Required Experience

  • At least two years of relevant experience in concrete works, construction, quality control, laboratory testing, production supervision, or estimation.
  • Experience in reinforced or precast concrete, concrete-product manufacturing, and construction-material laboratories is preferred.
  • Experience in quantity surveying, BOQs, and cost estimation is an advantage.
