Senior Accountant

Quest Financial Services LLC is an accounting company based in Kabul, Afghanistan, providing professional financial services to international organizations and Afghan businesses. Led by an American CPA and staffed by qualified Afghans, the Quest team combines international best practices with local Afghan knowledge to provide a comprehensive set of accounting and tax services. Quest Financial Services specializes in outsourced accounting services, tax advisory and compliance, financial system implementation, and training.

• Perform data entry into Excel, QuickBooks, or other accounting software as needed.
• Manage a basic monthly close process and prepare account reconciliation documents.
• Prepare draft Financial Statements using existing formats.
• Prepare advanced audit workpapers.
• Prepare draft budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare draft MoE reports.
• Document existing processes.
• Scan and file documents related to client engagements.
• Organize files and folders.
• Prepare and file complete/accurate tax returns for clients and solve routine problems at tax office.
• Analyze financial reports for clients
• Prepare monthly payroll for client that enable timely and accurate payment of salaries with the proper tax withholdings.  
• Setup a basic financial system for clients.
• Review client accounting records and help clean up the books.
• Training clients in the various skills necessary to keep their financial system running properly.
• Ensure client satisfaction and proactively address any and all client concerns.
• Work as an outsourced Senior Finance Officer for clients as needed.
• Act as focal point for small clients.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or 9 ACCA papers
• 3 -4 years of experience in related field 
• Seeks long-term career as professional accountant
