Realizing the tremendous need for modern management education in Afghanistan, a group of proficient academicians conceived the idea of establishing a new University in the private sector in 2008 in Kabul. The idea was converted into a practical proposition in 2009 when the charter was granted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The University is located in a spacious campus at a central place in the capital, Kabul, namely Charah e Baraki, and over a short span of time, Rana University has emerged as one of the most effective and rewarding seats of higher learning in the country. There are many factors attributed to the great success of this University, prominent among them are the dedicated support of faculty and staff, enthusiastic pursuit of studies by the students, and guidance of the Ministry of Higher Education.

The University has progressed both horizontally and vertically in these years. From a few bachelor's programs at the outset, it now consists of 4 major vibrant faculties and is spread over two campuses. Currently, the total enrollment is more than 4300, while more than 2000 students have graduated so far... According to the statistics, 22% of our graduates go abroad for higher studies and jobs, which indicates that the education provided by Rana University is compatible with International standards.

Not only this, but Private institutions, Banks, NGOs, and Government organizations are also hiring Rana graduates on a regular basis. In addition, RANA University is an institution established in 2009 and registered with the Ministry of Higher Education of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The establishment of RU is coinciding with the intense need for contributions to the rehabilitation and rebuilding process of Afghanistan in the higher and professional education sector.

• developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic plans, programs, policies, processes, systems, and procedures to achieve goals, objectives, and work standards
• developing, implementing, administering, and participating in policy research and analysis
• coordinating the implementation of policies and practices
• establishing activity measures and measurements of accountability
• overseeing and participating in the development of policy documents and reports
• consulting with and providing expert advice to government officials and board members on policy, program, and legislative issues
• representing the organization in negotiations, and at conventions, seminars, public hearings, and forums convened to discuss policy issues.
• Provide technical support as necessary to the process of developing and monitoring Annual Work Plans, including reporting on the progress of Program Policy and Procedures Guidance.
• Provide technical support as necessary in organizing and managing annual/mid-year/mid-term/end term Programs/ plans reviews, ensuring consistency with objectives and goals set out in the Strategic Plan, and contribute to the Annual Management Plan.
• Monitor follow-up actions based on management decisions resulting from the department's performance monitoring and reporting.
• Participate in reporting planning and discussions and support the development and completion of program monitoring plans through review of annual work plans, collection, analysis, and reporting of reporting-related information/data to facilitate integrated reporting planning and priority and goal setting.
• Prepare required documentations/materials/data to facilitate reporting, planning, implementation, and implementation. 

1.       At least Master/ PhD degree with specialization in any of the following majors from a recognized university/institute;

• Strategic Management;
• Public Administration;
• Management;
• Policy & Planning;

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in strategic planning, policy development, institutional planning, quality assurance, project management, or higher education administration;

Experience in developing strategic plans, operational plans, policies, procedures, and  institutional performance reports;

Language Skills: Fluent oral, written, and comprehensive skills in English, Dari & Pashto;

 Personal qualification: Must be a hard worker and honest, having strong teaching skills and knowledge;

Attested, original qualification documents, including Master/ PhD degree, are required;
