throughout Afghanistan. The company aims to contribute to the digital
transformation of Afghanistan by delivering reliable, secure, and affordable
connectivity solutions to residential, commercial, governmental, and
institutional customers.
The company is seeking renewal of its ICT License to
continue its operations and expand its services across additional provinces.
Through strategic partnerships with international connectivity providers such
as OmanTel and PTCL, City Connect ICT Services intends to deliver low-latency
and highly reliable Internet services to its customers.
Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing new internet connections, troubleshooting customer technical issues, maintaining network equipment, and providing timely technical support to ensure high-quality internet service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install new internet connections at customer locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve internet connectivity and network issues.
- Configure, test, and maintain customer networking equipment.
- visit Tower side for t.shoot/ installing a new access point.
- Install, replace, collect, and manage network devices and accessories.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure network reliability.
- Report completed installations, maintenance, and collected devices.
- Follow company technical standards and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues.
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field (preferred).
- Practical experience in internet service installation and troubleshooting is an advantage.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including routers, switches, wireless devices, and wireless internet technologies.
- Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems efficiently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in the field and travel to customer locations.
- Honest, responsible, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and router configuration.
- Experience with wireless internet installations.
- Familiarity with networking tools and testing equipment.
