Job Descriptions:

  • OBJECTIVES

The project needs to recruit a regional manager working full–time coordination and completing the project on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of the project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project, and overall implementation of the project.

 

  • RESULTS/OUTPUTS OF WORK

Under the overall supervision of the Program Manager, the Regional manager will work on the following tasks to coordinate the implementation of the project:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

  •  METHODOLOGY

 The Regional Manager will be supervised by the head of the program to coordinate the implementation of the project. The Project manager will work on a full-time basis and be located in the office of the Herat main office. She/he is expected to travel to the field and related places of the project.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in  business, or a related field, master's degree preferred
  • 5-8 years of project management and related experience
  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage complex project work with a focus on population, empowerment of women, gender programming
  • Experience in program planning, design, follow-up, report writing, monitoring, and evaluation of the projects
  • Experience in working with various partners, working with international and national experts to implement project activities
  • Experience in conducting project reports in English
  • Able to work independently or in a team
  • Education on a bachelor's or master's level in the area of development studies, social science - Strong communication skills
  • Good ability to communicate in English
