Job Responsibilities
- Conduct community training and awareness sessions on forestry, environmental conservation, and sustainable natural resource management.
- Provide technical guidance to community members on tree planting, forest protection, and agroforestry practices.
- Assist in the establishment, management, and monitoring of tree nurseries and forest plantations.
- Support afforestation, reforestation, and watershed management activities in target communities.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor forestry activities and provide technical support to beneficiaries.
- Collect, record, and report field data related to forestry interventions and project progress.
- Facilitate the formation and strengthening of community forestry groups and committees.
- Promote environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and climate-resilient forestry practices.
- Support site selection, land preparation, planting, maintenance, and survival assessments of trees.
- Assist in conducting forestry surveys, resource assessments, and environmental monitoring activities.
- Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to support project implementation.
- Prepare training reports, field reports, and other project documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards, project guidelines, and organizational policies.
- Support monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities related to forestry projects.
- Perform any other forestry and environmental management duties assigned by the supervisor.
