Job Description:
AWRO is seeking a Full-time Admin/Finance Assistant support the implementation and operations of its project in Jawzjan province. The Admin/Finance Assistant supports the efficient financial and administrative management of the project by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
TOR:
The Admin/Finance Assistant will undertake the following responsibilities under this project, including but not limited to:
- Carry out field-level procurements and purchases in line with AWRO procedures.
- Prepare complete and accurate purchase documentation for review and processing.
- Compile and submit weekly expense reports and cashbooks.
- Organize and provide financial and administrative supporting documents to the supervisor for further processing.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to project field staff and MHNTs.
- Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Prepare accurate minutes of meetings held at the field level.
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate meetings with field teams or stakeholders as required
- Manage field-level contracts and agreements including with staff and contractual service providers
- Monitor and maintain an inventory and asset tracking system for the field office.
- Report any incidents or significant events to the supervisor immediately.
- Support MHNTs in the preparation and implementation of micro-plans and logistical arrangements.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field, or high school diploma with additional two years of experience
- At least 2 years of Admin/Finance Assistant experience in NGO or humanitarian projects
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial procedures, procurement process, financial regulations, audit requirements, and documentation standards
- Ability to maintain accurate cashbooks and financial records, manage petty cash, prepare vouchers, receipts, and payment documentations
- Ability to manage filing system, store & warehouses, office supplies and logistics
- Familiarity with Jawzjan province is preferred
- Good skills in MS. Excel, calculation, and reporting
