Asia Lab medical
diagnosis chain laboratories established in 2017 and launched its branches in
the different provinces of Afghanistan such as Kabul, Herat, Kandahar,
Mazar-e-Sharif, Ghor, Takhar, etc. Asia Lab started its operation under the
authorization of Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan. Asia Lab is suppling
high quality diagnosis services across Afghanistan by benefiting from the
skilled and knowledgeable personnel.
These laboratories are
supplying services in the different sections including Hematology, Clinical
Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Parasitology, Serology, Mycology,
Endocrinology, Histology, Pathology, PCR, Virology, Enzymology and blood bank.
Asia Lab has been
equipped to the modern laboratory machinery and equipment and by using the
newest diagnosis methods, is trying to improve medical diagnosis in
Afghanistan.
We believe that the professionalism and commitment are very significant to reach to our positive objectives therefore; we always inspire our managers and skilled personnel to motivate them and create loyalty and commitment to the society. Description:
We are looking for two
skilled and professional individuals to work in a medical laboratory who can
perform well in a healthcare environment. As a professional staff member in the
medical laboratory, your goal will be to successfully carry out laboratory
tests.
Duties
and Responsibilities:
Technologist:
- Punctual attendance at the workplace
and performing duties until the end of work.
- Daily inspection of all equipment
& Machines before starting work.
- Performing laboratory tests with
high accuracy and quality according to doctors’ instructions (patient
request forms).
- Ensuring proper storage of
laboratory materials, recording consumables, and restocking supplies on
time.
- Maintaining personal hygiene, as
well as cleanliness of the lab room, materials, and equipment.
- Reporting test results to the
laboratory management.
- Proper identification and storage of
normal, hazardous, and explosive materials in designated cabinets.
- Timely reporting and disposal of
expired laboratory materials after completing administrative procedures.
- Ensuring communication and
coordination among laboratory units.
- Preventing errors in tests through
proper planning.
- Strict adherence to safety
principles against physical, chemical, and biological hazards.
- Consistent implementation of
infection prevention standards and other laboratory guidelines.
- Actively improving professional
knowledge in line with modern practices.
- Active participation in evaluations
and established standards within the relevant department.
- Transferring professional skills to
colleagues during work.
- Striving to increase revenue and
achieve set targets.
- Maintaining confidentiality and not
disclosing any information encountered during work.
- Performing any other duties assigned
by laboratory management.
Receptionist:
- Punctual attendance at the workplace
to perform assigned duties.
- Maintaining order, organization, and
cleanliness in the reception area.
- Providing responsible guidance and
assistance to clients with good behavior and professionalism.
- Ensuring proper management of
clients’ turn/queue.
- Providing necessary information
about tests to clients when needed.
- Accurately recording clients’
details and their tests in the laboratory system.
- Scheduling the next visit time for
clients to receive their test results.
- Contacting clients by phone, if
necessary, to deliver test results.
- Explaining and guiding clients whose
tests need to be repeated and samples recollected.
- Printing test receipts and
coordinating with relevant departments regarding tests.
- Receiving payments from clients and
recording all received funds.
- Reconciling daily cash collections
with the accounting department.
- Cooperating with the accounting
department and performing accounting tasks if required (in case of staff
absence).
- Taking weekly backups of computer
data.
- Coordinating with relevant persons
and departments before referring clients to other laboratory sections.
- Maintaining confidentiality and not
disclosing any information encountered during work.
Performing any other duties assigned by laboratory management.
Job Requirements
Technologist:
- Proficiency in performing a wide
range of laboratory tests and procedures.
- Ensuring accuracy in sample
handling, testing, and reporting results.
- Experience with laboratory
information systems (LIS)
Receptionist:
- Ability to clearly and politely
communicate with patients and medical staff.
- Providing respectful,
patient-centered service and handling inquiries professionally.
- Proficiency in using laboratory
software, data entry systems, and basic office programs.
