Hewad Vocational and Social Organization (HVSO) is a not-for-profit, non-political, and non-governmental humanitarian organization. HVSO was established in 2012 to work alongside other national and international partners for provision of education, health, community development and empowerment, and other social services aiming to reach the most unreached and highly underserved societies and women empowerment focusing on alleviating the sufferings of the most vulnerable groups of the society in different community structures such as rural, urban, IDPs, returnees, etc. Since its establishment, HVSO has worked hard to implement projects that ensure people’s access to quality and equitable education and health and other basic life services with focus on vulnerable group of society (women and children).
Job Description
Early Childhood Education Facilitators’ training is a highly technical activity in the field and hence, requires Trainers that are specialized and experienced in designing, and preparing ECE Training Material, delivering ECE training to ECE teachers, well familiar with the Child Safeguarding and Protection, and PSEA principles and standards both from NGO and UN perspective. The ECE Master Trainer will be responsible to lead and devlier the ECE potential Facilitators’ Training activity in Farah from Material review and understanding to Facilitators’ classes establishment stages, to conducting the ECE training and implementation, monitoring and handover stages. The incumbent will also be responsible for handling training reporting and other related activities and requirements of the donor and provincial and authorities. The Master Trainer will train, and capacitate potential ECE facilitators, and HVSO field level teams about the training, beneficiaries and matters related to training including PSEA, child safeguarding and protection. He/ She has to develop reports, present findings and progress, and draw conclusions about the training progress and its implementation in the field.
Job Requirements
- The master trainer would be responsible for coordination of all ECE facilitators’ training activities at provincial level including planning, budgeting, training delivery, material review and lesson planning, quality control, data collection, and conducting training to project beneficiaries (ECE potential Facilitators).
- Review, understanding the ECE training material and modules; coordination and approval of training material from Farah local education authorities at PED; and accordingly preparing the lesson plans. The MTs will make sure the Training material provided to them is comprehensive and culturally sensitive, meeting MoE/PED and UNICEF standard and contextually appropriate, and they develop lesson plans that focus on modern day ECE teaching methodologies including play-based methodologies, climate change and adaptation, and gender responsiveness tailored to the needs and context of ECE teachers in Afghanistan.
- Conducting the weekly phased Training of ECE Facilitators in Farah under the direct supervision of project manager and in close coordination with Farah PED, and UNICEF team in South region.
- Drawing upon learning of lessons from the Training Sessions and provide feedback, conduct engaging and informative training sessions to the potential ECE Teachers, utilizing interactive techniques and adult learning methodologies to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development of the beneficiaries.
- Work closely with the ECE project Manager on effective planning and implementation of the ECE Training activities based on the approved work plan and assessment findings;

- About the ECE Program overall and how it could be planned and established by these facilitators in the future.
- Planning and Preparing the ECE training and teaching materials for ECE learners in the future.
- Pre and post evaluation of the ECE students, and regular Monitoring process from ECE program delivery.
- Techniques of preparing model lessons, model lesson plans and their handouts for children.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: contribute to baseline and end line surveys through data collection, field level test of relevant technical modules and tools and provide regular feedback on its implementation and effectiveness. Also, submit weekly and monthly reports outlining project training progress, achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
- Sign and adhere to HVSO’s internal policies on PSEA, CoC, Gender, and Child Safeguarding and Protection.
- Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
