Job Description
• Develop and regularly update work plans and implementation schedules for all livelihood-related projects.
• Lead and oversee the execution of MSME development, carpet weaving, value chain strengthening, teacher training, computer learning, dairy processing centers, cold storage facilities, and cash-for-work initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise, guidance, and mentoring to project teams, trainers, and implementing partners.
• Coordinate closely with provincial teams, government departments, local authorities, and community leaders, while maintaining strong collaboration with UNHCR focal points on planning, reporting, and monitoring.
• Monitor project activities to ensure quality, effectiveness, sustainability, and timely delivery.
• Collect, analyze, and document data, success stories, and beneficiary feedback for inclusion in reports.
• Prepare and submit high-quality progress reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) in line with project manager and donor (UNHCR) requirements.
• Strengthen the capacity of field staff through technical support and ongoing mentoring.
• Conduct other relevant tasks and duties
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, and business administration(Master’s degree strongly preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in implementing livelihood programs, particularly MSME and agriculture-focused initiatives.
• Preference will be given to candidates from the relevant provinces.
• Demonstrated experience working with returnees, IDPs, and vulnerable groups in complex and challenging contexts.
• Strong technical knowledge of MSME development, carpet weaving, value chain strengthening, teacher training, computer literacy, dairy processing, cold storage, and cash-for-work programming.
• Prior experience with UNHCR-funded projects or other international donor-funded programs is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English, Dari, and Pashto.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to field sites across the northern provinces.
