The Youth’s Assembly for Afghanistan Rehabilitation (YAAR) is a non-governmental, non-political, and not-for-profit organization established in 1994 to support the rehabilitation and development of Afghanistan. YAAR works across multiple sectors including protection, WASH, health, education, women’s empowerment, and emergency response.
Job Description
- Supervise and oversee all TSFP activities at field level.
- Ensure proper implementation of TSFP according to national and organizational guidelines
- To collect valid activity data of the project on weekly and monthly basis to prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- Ensure correct distribution of supplementary food (e.g., Super Cereal, RUSF)
- Provide on-site technical support and mentoring to nutrition staff
- Ensure accurate screening (MUAC, weight, height) and proper documentation
- Maintain high-quality data collection, reporting, and record-keeping
- Conduct regular site visits and supportive supervision
- Coordinate with health facilities and community health workers (CHWs)
- Ensure adherence to IYCF (Infant and Young Child Feeding) practices
- Identify program gaps and propose solutions for improvement
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports
- Ensure stock management and prevent shortages or misuse
- Follow up on defaulter tracing and community mobilization
- Perform any other required project-related tasks.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- 1. Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, Public Health, MD or related field or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
- 2. Strong communication skills.
- 3. Fluent in English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills.
- 4. Proficient computing skills – word processing, spreadsheet design, and presentations.

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within YAAR and amongst beneficiaries served by YAAR.
