Job Description

Preparation of all training material to deliver basic and intermediate computer training to school students, enhancing their digital literacy and preparing them with essential IT skills for academic and personal development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop training materials, worksheets, and exercises considering age of students to support student learning.
  • Train students on basic computer operations including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), internet use, and typing.
  • Provide additional support to students who require extra assistance, including help with English language skills to better understand computer-related terminology and instructions.
  • Encourage the development of children's skills by fostering a positive, supportive learning environment that boosts their confidence and motivates them to engage with computer learning.
  • Support school teachers during the training period to build their capacity so they can continue delivering computer education to students, ensuring the sustainability of digital learning in the school.
  • Conduct weekly evaluations of the class to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Maintain and manage the computer lab, ensuring all equipment is used properly and responsibly to prevent misuse or damage.
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues to ensure smooth operation of computer lab activities.
  • Maintain attendance and other records, and submit regular progress reports to the project coordinator.
  • Maintain proper classroom management by creating an organized, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that supports student focus and participation.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the project coordinator.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Diploma in English Language.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching computer skills, preferably to school-aged students.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

  • Ability to use child-friendly teaching methods and tools.

  • Patience and understanding of children’s learning pace.

  • Good report writing skills.

Language Requirements:

  • Pashto: Fluent

  • Dari: Fluent

  • English: Full professional working proficiency
